Sea lice on chum salmon smolt near fish farms off Campbell River
After several years of research in the Broughton Archipelago I began working with fishermen near Campbell River to examine juvenile salmon in that area where there are many salmon farms. Colleagues and I published on the high lice infection rates on pink, chum and sockeye salmon nearest to salmon farms. This work is ongoing.
