Dumping morts
These fish were infected with IHN virus (as noted in my MAP section) at the Sir Edmund fish farm at the mouth of Kingcome Inlet in February, just as the herring were staging in that area. IHN kills herring and salmon. Wild fish would never naturally experience the number of viral organisms as they do at an infected fish farm. It is the difference between standing a football field away from someone with the flu and spending an hour in an elevator with ten people with the flu.
